E-mail: support@zupzi.io. A person reads every message. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
From inside the app: open Grown-ups (it asks for Face ID or your device passcode), and under Account tap Report a problem. Your message goes to our support inbox with your account e-mail, so we can reply, plus the app version, the iOS version and whether it is an iPhone or an iPad. It never includes your children’s names. The button is there for a signed-in grown-up, not on a child’s paired device. For anything else, just e-mail us.
It helps if you tell us your device (iPhone or iPad), what you tapped, and what you expected to happen. Please do not send photos of your children unless we ask.
Frequently asked questions
How does Zupzi Math know my child’s grade?
Zupzi Math covers kindergarten through grade 5. If you add your child’s birthday, the app uses it to pick the grade where the placement quiz starts (the usual U.S. rule: kindergarten for children who turn 5 by September 1). Without a birthday, and always on a child’s own paired device, the quiz starts at grade 1. The first time your child opens the game, Lilo asks a few questions, at most eight, and moves up or down until it finds where your child is. After that, the game keeps adjusting as your child practices, and brings back mastered skills for review. You can see the result under Grown-ups, Progress, then your child’s name, in Placement quiz.
Can my child retake the placement quiz?
Yes. Open Grown-ups, tap Progress and then your child’s name. In Placement quiz, choose the grade where the new quiz should start (K to 5), tap Retake the placement quiz and confirm. The next time your child opens the game on that device, Lilo gives the quiz again. Skills start over from the new quiz; coins, medals, Numbling friends and the Learning Stars already earned stay. Changed your mind before your child played? Tap Never mind, keep the current progress. The request is saved on the device where you made it. A child’s own paired iPad or iPhone has no Grown-ups area, so the quiz can only be retaken on a device where you’re signed in.
What are Learning Stars?
Zupzi Math pays Zupzi Stars once for each new thing your child learns: the placement quiz, a first medal on an island, and each skill mastered. Doing it again pays nothing. The Stars go to your child’s Zupzi Stars balance, the same one Zupzi Play uses for the rewards you set up there, so you can connect them to real rewards at home. Stars have no cash value and can’t be bought. To turn them off, open Grown-ups and choose Medals only in Learning Stars: the game still gives its own medals and coins, and your child’s Stars come only from missions in Zupzi Play. It is one setting for your whole family.
Inside the game, your child also earns coins for correct answers. Coins fill an egg that hatches a new Numbling friend. There is nothing to buy: every coin comes from playing.
Why haven’t my child’s Stars or report arrived?
Three things to check. First, each Zupzi app asks for your consent on its own: if your child was added in Zupzi Play or Zupzi Art, open Grown-ups in Zupzi Math, find the card Before (your child) uses Zupzi Math, check the box and tap Agree for (your child). Until then your child can play, but the Stars and the report wait. Second, the Stars and the progress summary need the internet; without it, they are saved on the device and sent the next time the game opens with a connection. Third, make sure Learning Stars is set to Pays Stars.
Where can I see how my child is doing?
Open Grown-ups and tap Progress. Each child has a line with the skills mastered and the minutes played this week; tap it to see This week (minutes, problems answered and how many were right on the first try), Islands (skills mastered on each island, and the best medal there) and Skills, sorted into Mastered, Learning, Needs help and Review due, with each skill’s grade and Common Core standard. This screen is on a device where you’re signed in, and shows only what was played on that device. A child’s own paired iPad or iPhone has no Progress screen: what your child plays there reaches you in the e-mail report.
What is the progress e-mail, and how do I turn it off?
On days your children play, the grown-ups in your family get a short e-mail at the end of the day: minutes practiced, skills mastered, and where Lilo is giving a hand. On Sundays it covers the whole week, with the islands; on the 1st, the month. It comes from the latest summary the game sent, and only for children you have agreed for in Zupzi Math. If your child plays on more than one device, the e-mail shows the device they played on most recently. To stop it, open Grown-ups and set Math report by email to Off. It is one setting for your whole family.
Can my kids play on their own iPad or iPhone?
Yes. On your device, open Grown-ups, find Pair a child’s iPad or iPhone and tap Get a code. The six digits work for ten minutes (the app shows until when). On your child’s device, open Zupzi Math, tap I have a code and type the digits. From then on, that device opens on Who’s playing?: your child taps their picture and types their PIN. A code from any Zupzi app works. You can also play on your own device: sign in with I’m a parent, then tap your child’s picture. To turn off a child’s device, use Devices in the Family screen of Zupzi Play, or on the child’s device tap Grown-ups, confirm with Face ID or the passcode, and choose Disconnect.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. The lessons, pictures and every voice clip are all inside the app, so your child can play offline, even on a plane. Signing in, adding a child, agreeing for a child and pairing a device need a connection. Learning Stars and the progress summary wait on the device and are sent later.
Why does the game ask me to turn my iPad?
Zupzi Math is played sideways, so the game switches the screen to landscape. If the device stays upright (an iPad can ignore the switch), the game shows Turn your iPad or Turn your phone until you turn it.
How do I add a child, or change a name, portrait or PIN?
To add a child in Zupzi Math, open Grown-ups and tap Add a player (or Add a player on the first screen, when there is no one yet): a name, an optional birthday, a picture, a four-digit PIN, and your consent. Your children’s profiles are the same in every Zupzi app; to change a name, a portrait or a PIN, or to remove a child, use the Family screen in Zupzi Play, or write to us at support@zupzi.io.
How do I delete my account?
Open Grown-ups, scroll to Account and tap Delete account. Type the word the app shows you, then tap Delete everything. This deletes your Zupzi account for Zupzi Math, Zupzi Play and Zupzi Art; if you are the only grown-up in your family, the family, your children’s profiles, their Stars and their progress go too. It cannot be undone. On that device, Zupzi Math also forgets the math progress saved there; on other devices it stays until you delete the app there.
Which devices does it work on?
Zupzi Math works on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. It is in English. There are no ads and nothing for sale inside the app.
